Among the participants from eleven European countries are two members of the Marine Geochemistry Group led by Andrea Koschinsky, Professor of Geosciences at Jacobs University. As part of itsSeventh Framework Programme (FP7) the EU has put up €3.7 million funding for the CADDY project which runs until 2017. The 25-year-old from Bulgaria developed an evaluation catalogue for transport packaging and beat a number of international participants. The contest was won by Alexander Taskov, a graduate of Jacobs University from the Class of 2012, who received the first prize endowed with €2000.
